Sindh residents can now register vehicles on CNIC number

Residents of Sindh can now register their vehicles on their computerised national identity card (CNIC) number, the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department announced on Tuesday. According to the department’s spokesman, the excise and taxation minister has introduced the facility according to which any person can get information about the registration of vehicles on their CNIC from www.excise.gos.pk. The spokesperson added that the facility will soon be provided via text messages as well. “Facilitating people is our top priority,” he added. Last month, the Sindh government launched new camera-readable vehicle registration number plates with multiple latest security features.
