Hadith in Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اتَّقُوا اللَّاعِنَيْنِ ، قَالُوا : وَمَا اللَّاعِنَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : الَّذِي يَتَخَلَّى فِي طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ أَوْ ظِلِّهِمْ " .
Urdu Translation
´ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ` رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم لعنت کے دو کاموں سے بچو“، لوگوں نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! لعنت کے وہ دو کام کیا ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”وہ یہ ہیں کہ آدمی لوگوں کے راستے یا ان کے سائے کی جگہ میں پاخانہ کرے ۱؎“۔
English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet ﷺ as saying: Be on your guard against two things which provoke cursing. They (the hearers) said: Prophet of Allaah ﷺ, what are these things which provoke cursing: easing in the watering places and on the thoroughfares, and in the shade (of the tree) (where they take shelter and rest).
